Based on the Mescaltio Mid, a hugely popular and technical mid-cut approach shoe, the Mescalito TRK GTX takes some of the characteristics of it's low-cut namesake and combines them with cutting edge hiking boot technology to create a walking boot designed for long hikes and demanding conditions, the MESCALITO TRK GTX guarantees grip, support, durability and comfort under the load of heavy backpack.

This waterproof walking boot was born in the name of comfort but with the necessary support for trekking. It’s a boot that gives your feet the ability to tackle even the longest trails.

  • Weight: 545g (1/2 pair size 38)
  • Lacing: Light cord metal system that evenly spreads the pressure. The upper is easily secured, avoiding pressure points.

  • Lining: GORE-TEX® BlueSign Approved is duarably waterproof and is PFC Free.
  • Sole: The DYNAMIS TRK sole with PU midsole in Bi-Density is able to guarantee durability, comfort and an optimized stability. The construction of the sole is made with materials able to absorb impacts, helping to reduce the onset of fatigue.
  • Upper: 1.7-1.9 mm Perwanger® suede leather with characteristics of waterproofing, breathability, scratch-resistant surface and durability. It integrates a good higher protection in the ankle area for better support, protection and comfort thanks to an Autofit 3D collar in padded fabric able to stabilise the entire foot without pressure points and wrap the ankle following its movement. The gusseted tongue is connected to the upper on both sides, remains well centred and prevents debris from entering the shoe. Schoeller fabric maintains the ideal foot climate independent of changes in outside temperature.

The Kind of Cream That Makes Your Skin Look Smoother, More Refined, and Just… Better

At 52, post-menopausal, with dry, increasingly sensitive skin, I’ve become very selective about creams that promise pore refinement, firming, or smoothing. Those claims can go wrong quickly. A lot of products aimed at “pores” are too drying for mature skin, and a lot of “firming” creams end up feeling heavy, silicone-heavy, or overly cosmetic. This cream surprised me because it manages to feel supportive and refining without pushing the skin too hard. That balance is exactly why it works so well for me. First, it’s important to set expectations correctly. This is not a miracle product, and it’s not going to literally shrink pores or dramatically transform the structure of your skin overnight. What it does do — and does very well — is improve the surface quality of the skin. My skin looks smoother, more hydrated, more even, and more refined when I use it consistently. And at this stage, that kind of steady improvement matters far more than dramatic claims. The texture is one of its strongest points. It has a smooth, elegant cream texture that feels substantial enough to moisturize properly, but it never tips into heavy or greasy. It spreads easily, absorbs well, and leaves the skin looking soft and supported rather than coated. For dry, mature skin, that is not always easy to find. I want comfort, but I do not want a cream that just sits on top of my face and makes everything feel overloaded. What I notice most with this cream is how it helps my skin look more polished and refined. The skin feels softer to the touch, looks smoother through areas where texture can become more obvious, and has that hydrated, slightly firmer look that makes the whole complexion seem healthier. The effect is subtle, but very real. It’s less about “wow” overnight change and more about waking up and noticing that your skin just looks better behaved. I also appreciate that this does not feel like a pore product in the harsh, stripping sense. A lot of products marketed around pores are clearly made with oilier, younger skin in mind. This feels much more compatible with skin that is dry and mature. It gives you that smoother, more refined appearance without sacrificing comfort, and that makes it much more useful in a long-term routine. Another strength is how well it layers. It sits beautifully over serums, doesn’t pill, and works well under sunscreen and makeup. That’s a major point for me, because if a cream disrupts the rest of the routine, it doesn’t matter how good it sounds on paper. This one integrates easily. In fact, I find that makeup sits more smoothly on top of it because the skin underneath looks more even and hydrated. The packaging is also worth mentioning. I really like the pump bottle format here. It feels hygienic, easy to use, and more practical than repeatedly dipping into a jar. It also makes the product feel more treatment-focused, which suits the formula well. The scent is minimal and clean, which I prefer. Nothing perfumey, nothing distracting, and nothing that makes the experience feel irritating or overly fragranced. Value-wise, this sits in a good place for me because it performs like a treatment moisturizer rather than just a basic cream. You’re getting hydration, smoothing, and that more refined skin finish in one step. And because you don’t need a huge amount each time, it should last reasonably well. For me, this is the kind of cream that earns its place by being consistently useful. It doesn’t overpromise. It doesn’t overwhelm the skin. It simply helps the skin look smoother, more balanced, and more refined over time — and for mature skin, that is often exactly what you want.
